FAQ
What do I get when I buy a Carly Robbins pattern?
A PDF sewing pattern delivered straight to your inbox, along with layered size options, detailed instructions, and a dose of autonomy. You’re buying the blueprint for something great.
What skill level do I need?
Let’s say: not your first rodeo, but you don’t need a degree in patternmaking either. If you can sew a straight line, read (and follow) instructions, and Google a technique when you’re stuck, you’ll be fine.
Can I sell garments I make from your patterns?
No. These patterns are for personal use only. If you're trying to start a brand, design your own silhouettes — it's half the fun.
What’s your return policy?
Digital patterns are final sale — once you download it, it’s yours. I can’t un-send a PDF.
How do I print the pattern?
You’ll get multiple format options: US Letter, A4, and A0. Print the US Letter or A4 at home and tape the pages together before cutting out or send the A0 to a copy shop and avoid the taping part altogether — pick your poison.
What if I’m between sizes?
Choose the size that fits your largest measurement and blend between sizes as needed. All patterns are drafted with wearing ease in mind. If you want the garment to fit like the photos you see on the site, follow the size chart, not the garment measurements. If your waist and hip are a size 12, trust that I've baked in extra ease in the pattern for the relaxed fit intention, don't size up.
Do you offer support?
You can reach out if something’s truly broken or confusing, but I trust you to use your judgment and adapt as needed. That’s kind of the point. Video tutorials for each style are part of the plan, but I'm a one woman show at the moment.
